Management of an Acequia Infrastructure is a multi-faceted effort that sometimes requires extensive research from sources that have tools that can provide working solutions for the problems that arise during the operation. A few examples are as follows:

Every year when the New Mexico Legislature convenes there are opportunities to apply for Capital Outlay Funding. Knowing how to navigate the process can be useful in acquiring needed funds for Infrastructure improvements. There are resources available to assist in that effort.

Commission Officers need to get clarification on land ownership and water right registrations. Using online tools available from the Office of the State Engineer, city of Espanola, Santa Cruz Irrigation District, and the counties of Rio Arriba and Santa Fe have been priceless in time savings.
